Shalom School, the Sacramento region’s Jewish community day school, seeks an accomplished and innovative educational leader to be its next Head of School.
Founded in 1978, Shalom School offers a comprehensive educational program from preschool through 6thgrade that instills a love of learning and prepares students to thrive in middle school and beyond. Shalom School’s rigorous program is enriched by instruction in Hebrew and Jewish Studies, as well as a state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) laboratory and curriculum.
Located in the desirable Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento, California, Shalom School is a pluralistic community school that serves families from the area’s synagogues as well as unaffiliated and non-Jewish families. Annual enrollment at Shalom School averages approximately 200 students.
The new Head of School must be an excellent communicator and a superb manager who is committed to educational excellence, inclusiveness, and community leadership. The ideal candidate will offer a record of success in Jewish education, recruitment, development, and community outreach.
